This Privacy Policy explains how AbroadPath Africa (“we”, “us”, “our”), at abroadpathafrica.com, collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, for visitors in the United Kingdom and European Union, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

  • Messages: your name, email address and message when you contact us.

  • Comments: your name, email address and comment if you comment on a guide.

  • Usage data: pages you visit, time spent, device and browser type, approximate location (country or city) and how you arrived at our site, collected through Google Analytics.
  • Cookies: small files stored on your device (see section 4).

We do not ask for or collect passport numbers, bank details, visa application documents or other sensitive personal information. Please don’t send these to us.

  • Website hosting: Hostinger
  • Analytics and advertising: Google (Analytics, AdSense)
  • Email newsletter: our email service provider, when we start a newsletter
  • Contact forms: WPForms (messages stored on our website)

We may also share information if the law requires it.

7. Data stored outside Nigeria

Some of these services store data on servers outside Nigeria (for example in Europe or the United States). We use reputable providers that protect personal data with appropriate safeguards.

8. How long we keep your data

  • Contact messages: up to 12 months after our last reply.
  • Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data: according to our Google Analytics retention setting (14 months).

Our website uses SSL encryption (https), secure passwords and two-factor login. No website is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

This website is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Our guides link to official government websites and other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their privacy policies.
